Eleni’s World

Thinking catches most people off guard! Expanding minds require expanding language, and Eleni’s World is a place where writing skills will noticeably improve, where the deepest thoughts will match with the most connotative words, and where my personal literary canvas will add new colours throughout the process.

A word has an internal meaning to everyone, and our choice of internal words is critical to the picture we choose to change of ourselves. It has been said that we are who other people have told us we are.

This is my place to change the colours of the painting – improving on the good and changing the colour of deception. All living things grow and change. It is the way of nature.

I have focused on changing my colours since I made the move to independence, and now find at least 10 new words a week to add to my knowledge base. The word “love” has so many meanings to so many different people. If I love to watch the sun rise in the morning, it creates rapture for my eyes, communion with my soul, the elation of my heart, and brings me a greater sense of well-being. My inner world has changed, and my perception of the outer world follows.

Yet I realize that we have different inner worlds. This is the way it should be. It is impossible for me to tell you about your inner world, but what I can hope for is that we find points of connection along the way. It is there we can connect through space and time, and see the world as one for a moment in time.

Listen for a day

Listen for a day

When we are young, we hear the word ‘Listen’ more times than we like. We need to listen to our parents and teachers and it is also vital for our safety and learning about the world that we listen and do as we are told. Then, we grow up and it is our time to finally...

Perception Projection

My perception of the world changes all the time because it is ‘just’ my very own perception. We all have a different perception of things depending on our very own world inside. There are times the whole world is smiling at me and then all of a sudden I feel...

It is a late summer afternoon in Toulouse. The sunlight touches my hands as I type on the keyboard. I’ve just finished another day full of blessings. It was a day surrounded by people who contributed to each other’s lives by sharing their stories and insights during...

The Joy Of Being An Entrepreneur

The Joy Of Being An Entrepreneur

Hi. Growing up I never once dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur. I hadn’t even heard that word and wouldn’t have known what it meant either. Even later, as an adult, the word entrepreneur didn’t do anything for me. I had only the fuzziest idea of what that meant, and didn’t really care. If someone had asked me what entrepreneur meant, I’d have given some vague answer such as, “starting a business, I think”.

Brain Technology

Brain Technology

There are times when you will find me standing between these two machines, my old 1984 Macintosh and my new Apple laptop. During such moments, I always ask myself, why do we spend too much time and energy trying to advance in technology or spend more money to buy the latest gadget, the smartest electronic and the fastest computer when we can use the same resources to better our brains, learn new things and change our mindset?

Animal Wisdom

Animal Wisdom

Sometimes we do not give quite enough serious thought to how important animals are to our inner growth and peace. We often seem to be thinking only about how we are always taking care of them and enriching their lives with love when it is actually the other way around.

Kids Show You!

Every week I get calls from parents who are concerned about their sons or daughters, whose ages range anywhere from 5 to 35 years of age. On each call I can hear the sincerity, the underlying concern and the frustration in their voices.
